Specialty Hammers

Nupla makes the broadest line of Specialty Hammers in the industry.  This offering covers striking tools ranging from Nupla’s patented Quick-Change Soft and Hard Face Non-Marring Hammers in three distinctive styles to fifteen of the most popular metal head striking tools, all with a selection of handle styles and ergonomic grips.  All striking tools are assembled with Lifetime® Nuplaglas® fiberglass handles.

Quick-Change Specialty Soft and Hard Face Hammers offer the ultimate in versatility for surface protective performance with interchangeable, replaceable screw-in faces (also called tips).  This extensive range of hammers, featuring a special reinforced engineering composite body, is available in weights from 6 oz. to 8 lbs.  Handle length and grip options add versatility for specialized applications.  The 16 oz and 20 oz. versions are also available as sets complete with six or eight 1.5” interchangeable striking faces in a durable storage case.

Typical applications are automotive maintenance and assembly, aerospace, aircraft, petrochemical facilities, nuclear sites, marine applications, metalworking/machining, electronics/micro processing, and more.

Quick-Change Tips for Quick-Change Hammers are made of specially formulated Nuplaflex®.  They are available in sizes from 1” through 3”, and seven different hardnesses from super soft to extra hard.  In addition to being resistant to fuels and most industrial chemicals, they are tough, resilient, outperform and outlast other soft face tips on the market, as well as traditional surface protective materials such as rubber, wood, rawhide, lead, copper, cellulose and micarta.  These non-marring tips will not mushroom, chip or leave any toxic residue and reduce fatigue from rebound, sting and vibration.  Their interchangeability limits wear to a replaceable item.

Cushion-Blow Soft Face Hammers are an economical version of the Quick-Change hammer.

These light duty hammers with special reinforced engineering composite bodies, have the same non-marring surface protective qualities with weather and industrial chemical resistant features.

Available in 12oz., 16 oz. and 32 oz. sizes with 1.25”, 1.375” and 1.75” medium and tough screw-in Nuplaflex tips.  Cushion-Blow hammers are useful in applications such as automotive maintenance/assembly, woodworking, metal working/machining, marine industry, hobby work and general household.

Micro-Strike® innovative miniature mallet sets offer three or six molded, interchangeable and replaceable composite striking heads with one Nuplaglas pultruded fiberglass handle.  The revolutionary handle to head attachment system allows easy and quick interchangeability of mallet heads.  The set provides unmatched convenience and quality for focused applications from microelectronics, telecommunications, metal working and crafts to aircraft and aerospace.

Steel Impax® Dead Blow Framing Hammer is a break through innovation with patented technology.  Engineered to virtually eliminate any vibration and bounce back, this revolutionary hammer has a built-in shot loaded cavity which delivers more power and less rebound than any hammer of its kind.  This technology is particularly applicable in the construction industry but useful in any industry requiring dead blow performance in a steel hammer head. The Steel Impax is designed to withstand the most severe, repetitive hammering and the tempered steel head includes a milled face to prevent glancing blows and flying nails.  A smooth face model is also available.  The ergonomic grip is designed with maximum comfort, safety and stress reduction in mind.  Lifetime Nuplaglas handles provide exceptional strength, safety and durability.  The hammers exceed all ANSI and Federal Specifications.

Claw & Ripping Hammers, Bricklayers Hammers, Ball Pein, Prospectors Pick, Welding Chipping Hammer, Brass Hammers, Rubber Mallets, Urethane Mallets, Hand Drilling, Cross Pein and Slugging Hammers are available in weights and styles to suit a broad range of applications.  Hammers are assembled with Nuplaglas Lifetime handles in Classic or Ergo Power configurations and ergonomic safety grips.  Classic® handles feature solid pultruded fiberglass composed of millions of continuous parallel fiberglass strands cured under tension in a thermosetting resin.  Ergo Power® handles feature a pultruded Nuplaglas core with an injection molded outer jacket of engineering polymer.  These specialty steel, brass and composite face hammers are the finest available on the market and used for the most demanding jobs.
