Long Striking Tool Replacement Handles

Genuine Nuplaglas® Handles are simply the best and have been the industry standard for decades.  From the mid ‘50s - when the Nuplaglas pultrusion process was patented as the most viable solution to prevent loss and injuries due to failed wood handled tools - to this day, Nupla has designed and developed a multitude of the highest quality Nuplaglas handles.  There is a Nupla handle for practically every popular striking, digging and cutting tool.  Our rigorous field tests assure a use-safe product, with a Lifetime® guarantee

Nupla has one of the industry’s broadest lines of long striking tool replacement handles.  Nuplaglas® handles in appropriately sized cross sections fit the most popular striking tool eyeholes covered in ANSI and U.S. Federal Specifications.  All handles meet and exceed U.S. Federal Specifications.  Available in both Classic® Nuplaglas and Ergo Power® configurations, these long handles can be installed in a wide range of tools including sledges, splitting mauls, single and double bit axes, pick mattocks, ditch bank blades and bush hooks.  Unique Mech/Loc® replacement handles for long striking tools further enhance this line.

Classic® handles are made with the patented Nuplaglas process of pultruding millions of fiberglass strands combined with resin to create tool handles of tremendous strength and durability.

Ergo Power® handles, which focus on comfort with strength and durability, incorporate a solid pultruded Nuplaglas structural core with a injection molded outer jacket of engineering polymer for the perfect balance of ergonomic comfort, safety, strength and durability.

Mech/Loc® System replacement handles for long striking tools are based on another revolutionary Nupla patent and are particularly useful for field installation and quick tool turnaround.  The unique state-of-the-art System features a razor-tooth adaptor molded to the end of a Nuplaglas handle.  The handle with adaptor is inserted into a tool head and two razor-tooth wedges with opposing key locks are installed on either side of the adaptor to complete the assembly.  The Mech/Loc System provides a fast and incredibly strong assembly of handle to tool head, with no epoxy bond required, cutting drying time for epoxy curing and allowing immediate use of the tool.
