Digging Tool Replacement Handles

Nuplaglas® replacement handles are available for a variety of digging tools including shovels, spades, manure/hay forks, spading forks, brooms, mops, post hole diggers, rakes, hoes, and squeegees.  These super strong Lifetime® handles are offered in five styles, Power Pylon® Classic®, Power Pylon Ergo Power®, Ergo Power, Protec® and Classic, with ergonomic comfort grips in each style.  They can be quickly and easily installed in the most popular digging tool blade styles and will return the tool to the job for a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire tool. These safety handles are ideal for all tough, heavy duty industrial/commercial applications.

All handles meet and exceed ANSI and U.S. Federal Specifications.

Genuine Nuplaglas handles are made of pultruded structural fiberglass that is composed of millions of continuous parallel fiberglass strands cured under tension in a thermosetting resin.  This process together with reinforced fiberglass sections at critical stress points produces a handle design with optimum strength-to-weight ratios and provides the user with safety and durability in all heavy duty industrial applications.

All Nuplaglas digging tool handles have a built in dielectric safety feature since fiberglass is one of the finest insulators available.  Shovel handles can be used in wet conditions where moisture-laden wood or tubular steel would have disastrous results.  They do not conduct heat or cold and are impervious to industrial chemicals making them safe to use around acids, oils, fuels or other contaminants.  The handles have a high shelf life since they are unaffected by fungus, termites or dry rot as are wood handles.

The Power Pylon® line of replacement handles are based on Nupla’s revolutionary patented innovation, and are used with Nupla’s unique Power Pylon replaceable, interchangeable shovel blades.   The Power Pylon technology features a fiberglass reinforced engineering composite structure molded to a Nuplaglas handle.  The design, which provides an integral fusion of Nuplaglas® handle to digging tool blade, is derived from aerospace applications which eliminates the “weak link” rivet connection used in traditional shovels.  It also balances the performance of blade and handle, maximizing the load-bearing strength of the tool.  Power Pylon handled digging tools are better balanced and weigh less than like tools.  The integral unit design of the Power Pylon handle and grip provides dielectric safety in preventing the hand from sliding to the blade. The handle is bolted to the blade with hard steel bolts secured by all temperature nylon locking threads.  Power Pylon handles are available in Ergo Power and Classic styles.

Ergo Power® handles, which focus on comfort with strength and durability, incorporate a pultruded Nuplaglas structural core with a injection molded outer jacket of engineering polymer for the perfect balance of ergonomic comfort, safety, strength and durability.

Classic® Nuplaglas handles have been the standard in the industry from the mid ‘50s when Nupla patented the revolutionary Nuplaglas pultrusion method of making super strong handles.

The Protec Classic line of industrial quality shovel handles offers all the features and benefits of Nupla’s Classic line but adds protection and comfort with durable Nuplaflex® abrasion resistant cladding over the entire length of the handle.  The cladding minimizes wear and protects the user from possible fiberglass splinters.  It also provides a superior gripping surface in all heavy duty industrial applications.
