Paving, Concrete Compacting, Asphalt Tools
This assortment of heavy duty tools is used in industries involved in paving construction and maintenance, road construction, fencing, recreational – tennis/baseball courts, running tracks, horticulture, etc. to name a few.
Asphalt Lutes have a 36” wide extruded aluminum blade, with opposing smooth and serrated edges for dual purpose use. The blade has a double brace and is securely bolted to a Lifetime®, heat-resistant Nuplaglas® fiberglass handle by means of a sturdy reinforced nylon connector. This high quality Lute provides the leverage needed for moving heavy paving material, and for spreading/raking and leveling asphalt, tar and other construction material under all weather conditions. Available in three convenient handle lengths – 66”, 72” and 84”, all with a comfortable butt grip.
Asphalt Rakes are used for spreading and grading asphalt, tar and gravel. The heavy duty steel rake has a 17” wide blade with 14 teeth and a long tang which is permanently bonded into a Lifetime 60” Nuplaglas fiberglass handle with a cap grip. A handle option offered is a Protec® sleeve over the full handle length. The abrasion-resistant sleeve acts as a barrier that minimizes handle wear and protects the user from possible fiberglass splinters. While providing safety and comfort, Protec also offers a superior gripping surface useful in all heavy duty applications.
Classic Mortar Mixers have a 10” x 6” forged steel blade with two perforations. The blade, which is permanently bonded to a 66” Nuplaglas fiberglass handle, has perforations for improved mixing with far less effort. The fiberglass handle with cap grip is strong, durable and moisture resistant and is also available with a Protec® sleeve over the full handle length. The abrasion-resistant sleeve acts as a barrier that minimizes handle wear and protects the user from possible fiberglass splinters. While providing safety and comfort, Protec also offers a superior gripping surface useful in all heavy duty applications.
Concrete Placers, “Come-Alongs” with heat treated and tempered 20” wide straight-edged blades are ideal for spreading and preliminary leveling of concrete. Securely bolted to a Nuplaglas fiberglass all-weather handle, the heat treated and tempered 11 gauge blade with hook has a welded construction and is rigid enough to push and pull wet concrete. Available in three convenient handle lengths with cap grip – 48”, 54” and 66”. Additionally, the 54” handle is also available with a Protec® sleeve over the full handle length. The abrasion-resistant sleeve acts as a barrier that minimizes handle wear and protects the user from possible fiberglass splinters. While providing safety and comfort, Protec also offers a superior gripping surface useful in all heavy duty applications.
Tampers offered in two popular sizes – 8” x 8” and 10” x 10” – with base plates of cast steel are the most rugged tampers on the market. Permanently bonded to Lifetime Nuplaglas fiberglass all-weather handles, these heavy-duty tampers are used to smooth and compact dirt, stone, asphalt and other materials. Available in two handle lengths – 48” and 72” - with comfortable butt grip.
Classic Nuplaglas handles exceed all Federal standards and are made of pultruded structural fiberglass that is composed of millions of continuous parallel fiberglass strands cured under tension in a thermosetting resin with reinforced sections at critical stress points. This design produces optimum strength-to-weight ratios and provides the user with safety and durability required in all heavy duty applications.
All Nupla handles have excellent dielectric properties that make them safe to use even in wet conditions. Smooth, resin rich handle surfaces protect users from splinters and resist UV deterioration. The handles are unaffected by cuts, blows, moisture, or most industrial chemicals and are easily cleaned of concrete, tar etc. In addition, the tools have a high shelf life since they are unaffected by fungus, termites or dry rot as are wood handled tools.
