Digging Bars, Forceable Entry Bars, Soil Probes
Nupla carries a wide assortment of digging bars and soil probes. Installed with heavy duty Nuplaglas fiberglass handles, these sturdy tools offer the best in their categories.
Digging Bars have heads of high strength ductile iron and are available in multiple combinations of digging bar with wedge end, point end, point and ball end, wedge and ball end, and wedge with point end, all with Nuplaglas handles ranging in length from 48” to 96”. These versatile tools are ideal for prying or levering heavy objects; for excavation, breaking and loosening hard soil, rock, even concrete. The point and wedge-end digging bars can be used for cutting into hard roots for picket fence installation. The ball end of the digging bar is good for shaping rounded surfaces and tamping soilwhile also adding weight for additional driving force and control when used with the point or wedge ends. Non conductive Nuplaglas handles provide extra dielectric safety. Another use for digging bars would be in forceable entry.
Forceable Entry Bars have a ball end and a wedge end. These super heavy-duty Nuplaglas bars provide excellent foreceable entry capabilities and are used by military, police and SWAT Teams.
Soil Probes are offered with an optional cast zinc metal tip for extra durability. Solid Nuplaglas handle diameters of ½” and heavy duty 5/8” are available in 48” and 60” lengths. These probes are used for soil testing and with their non-conductive fiberglass handles are safe for locating irrigation, power and water lines; ideal for the utility industry.
Classic Nuplaglas handles exceed all Federal standards and are made of pultruded structural fiberglass that is composed of millions of continuous parallel fiberglass strands cured under tension in a thermosetting resin. This design produces optimum strength-to-weight ratios and provides the user with safety and durability required in all heavy duty applications.
All Nupla handles have excellent dielectric properties that make them safe to use even in wet conditions. Smooth, resin rich handle surfaces protect users from splinters and resist UV deterioration. The handles are unaffected by cuts, blows, moisture, or most industrial chemicals and are easily cleaned of concrete, tar etc. In addition, the tools have a high shelf life since they are unaffected by fungus, termites or dry rot as are wood handled tools.
